The long-awaited Sex and the City movie is going to begin shooting this fall. All four original leading ladies will reprise their roles as Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and last but certainly not least, Samantha (Kim Cattrall).
The idea of a SatC movie came about right after the end of the series, however there was some conflictions having to do with Cattrall. The actress axed plans of the production after some salary issues. But rest assured, she is signed on to do the movie with a deal including a better salary and a future deal with HBO, according to the Daily Variety. The movie will be directed by the original serie's director Michael Patrick King.
When I first heard of this news, I was so estatic! After watching reruns on syndication throughout the year, I am way excited for some new material from our ladies of Manhattan. Hopefully the movie will live up to the show!
If you're like me and can't wait til next year when the movie comes out, just pick up the Sex and the City DVD set. Six seasons of heaven! I'm telling you, this show is like the Bible for women. If you have never seen it, check it out! Invite all your girl friends and watch it all together. It's a great bonding activity. ;]
