My Perfect Room

I woke up this morning and looked around my room. It's cluttered with things that I don't want or need. My sister's things basically take up all the space in the room. And she's only eight! How many things can an eight year-old have? And all the things that are mine are just little pieces of junk lying around. I finally came to a conclusion: my room does not show who I am as a person. I may be just a tad bit boring, but come on. Not THIS boring. The paint on the wall doesn't even really describe me. Lavender is one of my favorite colors, but as for describing my personality...I'm not a very soft and gentle person. I am wanting very much to change things in my room, but the chances of that actually happening are slim.
I was surfing through the internet for a little bit today, when I found this very intriguing site. And I must say, the products they carry are awesome! A lot of the stuff is handmade by other people, and people can sign up and sell their own stuff. It's pretty schweet. From the adorable notebooks to the quirky vintage dresses, I could buy their whole stock. And I thought, Wow, a lot of this stuff can be cute for my room. So an idea sparked for another post! What items from Etsy would be perfect for my ideal bedroom. So after perusing for some time, I found a lot of things that would work.

I was thinking of perhaps a new wall color. But then I realized, I would much rather have a plain white wall. That way the contents of my room can speak for itself, not the wall. Also, it's extremely versatile. ;]

This painting's actual size is only 8" x 10", but I find that it's so adorable, and the girl in the picture reminds me of myself. =P
This painting is just lovely (no pun intended...). I love the colors, and the etherealness is very enjoyable.

I love black and white photography. The simplicity of this photo is what really made me fall in love with it. It reminds me of going to Carmel and Monterrey in California last year. Ahhh those were the days...

How quirky is this lamp? So cute...as a matter of fact, I need a new lamp at the moment...

The pillow is kinda retro a la Andy Warhol. And it's green! =D

Reminds me of popsicles... =P Loves it!

So kitsch and I love the blue. Great to put next to 'Bowl'.

Lavender Mint Aromatherapy.... ^.^

I need a new journal, and this is very vintage.

**Yeah....a lot of the stuff doesn't match together. But so what? It's my room, and I hate matchy-matchy stuff. I'm eclectic, so why can't my room be? These items along with the pages of ELLE I've plastered on the walls, It'll be perfect.
