Face it: women love good-looking guys. Sure, there's that 'well he has to have a personality' philosophy too, which I definitely believe in. Women are judgmental, vain creatures, to some realistic extent. But, there sure as hell ain't a problem about a rather dashing gentleman. Say a lady's at a bar, and she turns around to see this bloke in front of her. Tall, dark, handsome, great energy: Components to any woman's perfect man. She whispers to her friend that's sipping on a cosmopolitan next to her something about the guy's looks, with a flushed smirk across her face. It's kinda obvious what she'd say, no? Okay, well let's change one thing: what if that lady was ME? Yes, I'm a girl, but this can totally change the situation. I see the lad, eying him from the distance. My heart skips a beat, my eyes bulge with sheer amazement. I nudge my friend next to me, nearly spilling her cosmo, and I shriek in her ear, while still keeping my gaze on the guy....
...."I love his clothes!! He has such great style!"
Yeah, sounds pathetic--albeit fitting, right? I mean, come one it's ME in the situation here, not some norm here. I'm rather...what's the word...weird?
One little tidbit about me you might wanna know: I notice the clothes first, looks second. Now could it just be my inner fashionista being shallow and superficial once again? But actually, I find it to be a rather humbling quality of mine. All women universally know this one fact: Even if he's hot, he'll probably be a jackass. Now hold on before you bite me, there are always exceptions...perhaps the guy that YOU have is the perfect little parcel. But anyone...ANYONE. Can agree with me. It's like that old saying: 'Looks can be deceiving'. But clothes, however, have a different meaning. If a guy can dress himself, it shows his personality, and his expressionisms. And how he lives life. Now isn't personality the most important thing? :]
Now this bloke I was talking about: how does he dress, you wonder? I mean, he better look amazing to meet my standards. Just imagine the tailored, clean cut eclecticisms of Muse meets the laid-back comforts of Rupert Grint. Need visuals? No problemo.

Now isn't that so refreshing to see, especially after having to witness the same kind of style at school all the time? Indeed, it is.Which brings me to my cross dressing reference: If I were a guy, I'd totally dress like them. I'd never be afraid of slipping on some Italian alligator boots or utilitarian wool cardigans (I practically live in cardigans anyways). Vests? Not a problem. Suspenders? Bring it. Hell, I don't even have to be a guy to wear them. I'd wear them right now. Just with a tad bit of subtlety. As much as I love my feminine frilly dresses and flats, I quite enjoy the androgynous look that is slowly becoming prominent these days. Who knows, maybe if I find a guy I could share a few sweaters or too with him. ;]
So even though guys don't 'seem' to care about what they wear, it really does tell women who they are, in some sense. So guys, if you ever read this, don't be too hasty while you are getting ready for the day, alright? ;]
